Ivan Erwich and the other terrorists move all of the canisters into an awaiting van which is disguised to look like a SWAT van. Erwich and the others get in the van and they begin to leave the airport and since they are in the SWAT van they are able to clear the checkpoint without a problem. Erwich is taking the nerve gas to the ocean docks where they will be delivered to a man named Schaefer, as Erwich is driving to the docks he is in contact with Nathanson.

Meanwhile, Curtis and some other CTU agents continue to look for the sleeper hostage and they eventually find where the canisters were stored and they enter the hole. Curtis finds a dead rat that looks like it’s been poisoned and they run tests and eventually learn that nerve gas was stored in the hole. One of the techs thinks the gas has been stored there for awhile but he can’t pinpoint for exactly how long. Curtis and the others head back to CTU. Jack is taken into an awaiting CTU vehicle and he is taken back to CTU. At the Presidential retreat, Martha Logan comes out of her unconscious state. A doctor immediately checks her out. President Logan and Cummings speak and they determine that Martha needs to receive additional care and Martha willingly agrees but she knows that something isn’t right and she knows someone knocked her out.

The truck with the canisters stops and Schaefer unloads the canisters. Schaefer gives Erwich some U.S. Customs documents and he says the cargo will arrive at it’s location in ten days. Meanwhile, Jack is escorted into CTU and several agents take him into the debriefing room. Audrey sees Jack, when she woke up this morning she thought Jack was dead and she is having a hard time accepting that he faked his death. She very briefly speaks with Jack and it’s obvious that the love is still there. Across the room, the surveillance tapes from the airport are analyzed and the tapes show Erwich and CTU identifies him and they see that he left the airport in the SWAT van.

Spenser is up to no good and he somehow let’s an outside computer tech into CTU and he escorts the man into a server room. Spenser does not know that this man is actually an assassin. Chloe finds Spenser and she discovers that he is up to something and she tells Buchanan and Spenser is detained and taken into an interrogation room. Buchanan knows Spenser needs to be scared by his interrogator so he decides to bring in Jack. Jack does his patented interrogation technique and Spenser spills all he knows. Spenser says he was just following the orders of a high ranking white house official. It’s eventually discovered that Cummings has been in contact with Spenser. A call for Jack comes into the interrogation room and the voice says that Tony Almeida is wide awake and that Jack can come and see him. Jack rushes out of the room while the others stay behind. Jack goes into CTU medical and into Tony’s room and walks over to the bed. He looks down and Tony is still unconscious and Jack doesn’t understand what’s going on. Jack looks up and into the mirror. The assassin Spenser let in is standing right there.
