Nun die Zahlen also da und sie sehen nicht besser aus
The rest of the top 10 are actually very close in figures, with only $3 million separating the 3rd place movie with the 10th place movie. HELLBOY did manage to remain in the hunt though, holding on to second spot after its #1 ranking last week. With so many movies being released over the past few weeks, many have quickly dropped out of the top 10 including DAWN OF THE DEAD, THE PRINCE AND ME (which was in 5th spot last week with $10M), JERSEY GIRL and THE LADYKILLERS. I was personally really bummed to see one of the more entertaining and original movies of the year, THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, perform weakly with only $6M in its first weekend out. Hopefully, the word of mouth will build on that film, since both critics and movie-goers seem to be diggin' it. Go see it, dammit...it's a fun, sweet time.
Weekend Boxoffice
1. Passion of the Christ $ 17.1 Million/ $ 354.9 Million
2. Hellboy $ 11.1 Million/ $ 41.1 Million
3. The Alamo $ 9.2 Million/ New
4. Johnson Family Vacation $ 9.2 Million/ New
5. Walking Tall $ 8.3 Million/ $ 28.8 Million
6. Home on the Range $ 8.2 Million/ $ 27.5 Million
7. Scooby-Doo 2 $ 8.0 Million/ $ 62.8 Million
8. The Whole Ten Yards $ 6.7 Million/ New
9. Ella Enchanted $ 6.1 Million/ New
10. The Girl Next Door $ 6.0 Million/ New
