(Press Release) Ironworks Music, the brand new independent record label owned by Kiefer Sutherland and Jude Cole, will be sending it's first accomplishment into the world from Rocco DeLuca and The Burden on March 21st. The debut album entitled, I Trust You To Kill Me will be a first for both the label and the Long Beach, California band.
Long-time friends and entertainment industry veterans, Sutherland and Cole originally opened their Silverlake studio Ironworks as an artist-driven recording space (housing Sutherland's massive museum-worthy collection of guitars). "We would invite musicians that we liked down to start recording and get creative and it's actually something that just organically turned into a label," recalls Cole. "It was more of a natural progression, not really one that we premeditated."

In 2004, the pair were introduced to Rocco DeLuca by a friend who saw him perform at The Gypsy Lounge in Orange County where he held a two-year residency. The bar was known more for its local biker crowd than a breeding ground for talented musicians. [Actually the Gypsy is THE place to hear the best up and coming OC and LBC musicians perform -ed] Yet Rocco used the nonchalant stage as a writing and rehearsal space to continue honing his unique craft on the DOBRO® steel guitar and to experiment with his impressively wide vocal range. DeLuca had grown up surrounded by music; first with his father being the touring guitarist for Bo Diddley and then with his friends immersed in the punk scene. As a result, Rocco's sound naturally emerged as a soulful combination of blues and rock with honest, vulnerable lyrics backed with an unsurpassed inner strength.

Although Rocco has had the honor of opening up for Taj Mahal, John Mayall, John Lee Hooker and has even played with Johnny Cash, it has been the formation of his band, The Burden, that has enabled the intensity of I Trust You To Kill Me to be translated into the impressive live show it is today. The Burden consists of Dave Beste (bass), Ryan Carmen (drums) and Greg Velasquez (percussion) who are all Rocco's best friends and in turn, have become his family.

The groups intense live show has been striking a popular chord with music fans all over the Los Angeles area for the past few months. Rocco DeLuca and The Burden have played sold out shows at Spaceland with Daniel Lanois, The 88 and others. Full tour plans will be announced shortly.

Hab was neues gefunden ,da ist ein wunderschönes Video drauf ,unter anderen sieht man auch Kiefer zu Silvster in Island .

der Clip ist so super ,da kommen alle Gefühle wieder hoch von Silvster ,die eigentlich ehrlich gesagt noch nie wirklich unten waren .Hoffe sehr das die Doko blad kommt und vorallem auch hier in Deutschland erhältlich ist .
Ansonten müssen wir unsere Beziehungen spielen lassen .

Ich möchte auch mit Kiefer tanzen! Er kann sogar Disco-Fox !
Vielleicht kommt die Doku ja nicht nur auf VH1, sondern auch in Europa, auf BBC, Arte oder so.
Außerdem hoffe ich auf ne DVD, zumindest aus England.

Hier ist noch ein Artikel über die Doku, die demzufolge in den USA auch im Kino laufen soll. Ich hoffe, wir kriegen sie hier in Europa wenigstens als DVD.
