Season 6 Prequel (mit Spoilern zum Prequel!)

A door opens, illuminating the bruised and bloody face of Jack Bauer, who is on the dirt ground of a small room. A Chinese interrogator and two guards enter. The interrogator tells Jack that if he cooperates, he will be released. Jack remains silent and the guards begin beating him. The screen goes black.

The door opens, again illuminating Jack, who now has facial hair, indicating he's been held captive for some time. The interrogator says that the American government is no longer actively looking for Jack, meaning that if he were to attempt suicide again, nobody would know that he died. He adds that only Jack has the power to stop his suffering. Two guards enter and Jack's screams are heard from outside. The screen goes black.

The door opens, again illuminating the dark room. Jack, now sporting a full beard and long hair, panics and cowers in the corner. The interrogator says he's admired Jack's resolve over the last two years but says he's grown tired of this game. He says he's being reassigned to a better job and that he doesn't care if Jack ever talks again. He tells Jack that they've gotten enough out of him and that his execution has been scheduled for tomorrow. The screen goes black.

Jack is marched through the jungle past other prisoners and forced to his knees in front of a large pit filled with corpses. A guard is about to shoot him when he gets a call on his radio. The guard marches Jack back to the camp. Jack asks what is happening. The screen goes black.

Jack, freshly shaven and clean-cut, is driven to a small airfield for a prisoner exchange. Jack is released into the custody of a well-dressed man and woman from the CIA in exchange for a Chinese prisoner. Jack is escorted onto a private jet.

In the air, Jack is resting in a small room at the back of the plane. He picks up a phone on the wall but there is no dial tone. The CIA woman enters, saying that the phone was disabled because this is where they were holding the Chinese prisoner. She gives Jack a shot to help him relax. She tells Jack that they need to know what classified information he divulged to the Chinese. Jack asks if she's read his classified mission files and she says yes. On the verge of tears, Jack says he was tortured for two years and that he had to give up information on an operation called Excalibur just to stay alive. The woman consoles Jack, saying that nobody in American will fault him after all the suffering he's been through but insists they need to know the details of Excalibur so they know what classified information has been compromised.

Jack glares at the woman for a moment before plunging the syrgine into her throat. He throws her to the ground and angrily says that there is no such thing as Operation Excalibur and demands to know who she's working for. The man enters but Jack kills him and steals his gun. Jack hijacks the cockpit, discovering two Chinese pilots. He shoots out the radio and demands to know their exact location and fligh plan. The pilot says they are 150 miles off shore and they are under orders to stay airborne for 15 hours before returning to Beijing. Jack orders the pilots to drop below radar and to set a course for Los Angeles. He looks back and sees the woman stirring on the floor. Jack warns the pilots that if they change their heading by a degree, he will come back and kill them both and crash the plane into the ocean. Jack then goes to the back of the plane and gives the woman one last chance to talk. She refuses and Jack shoots her dead. The screen goes black.

There is a montage of short clips showing Jack from previous seasons. A narrator says that this time, Jack is coming back with a vengeance. Little does he know, by the time this plane lands, something terrible has already happened.
